6.2 Subscription to our newsletter
On the Universum Managementges. mbH website, users are provided with the opportunity to subscribe to our company’s newsletter. The personal data transmitted to Universum Managementges. mbH for subscription to the newsletter will depend on the respective input mask used for this purpose.

Such tracking pixels contained in the newsletter collect personal data, which is saved and evaluated by Universum Managementges. mbH in order to optimise the newsletter and adjust it in the future better to the interests of the data subject. 7. Legal basis of the processing
Art. 6 I (a) of the GDPR is used by our company as a legal basis for processing for which we have obtained consent for a certain processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfil a contract, for which the data subject is a contractual partner, (as is the case in processing operations for example which are required for the delivery of goods or the provision of other services or performance) processing is based on Art. 6 I (b) GDPR. The same applies for processing that is necessary for the implementation of contractual measures, for example in the case of enquiries about our products or services. if our company has a legal obligation that requires the processing of personal data, such as the fulfilment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 I (c) GDPR. In rare cases, the processing of personal data could be necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor to our company were injured and his/her name, age, health insurance details and other vital information had to be given to a doctor, a hospital or another third party. Then the processing would be based on Art. 6 I (d) GDPR. Finally, processing may be based on Art. 6 I (f) GDPR. Processing that is not included in any of the above-mentioned legal bases is based on this when the processing is necessary for the maintenance of the legitimate interests of our company or of a third party, as long as this is not outweighed by the interests, basic rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subject. We are permitted to undertake such processing because it has been mentioned specifically by the European legislature. 7.3 Legal or contractual requirements for the provision of personal data; necessity for conclusion of the contract; duties of the data subject to provide personal data; possible consequences of non-provision
We hereby inform you that the provision of personal data is to an extent required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or may arise out of contractual arrangements (e.g. information on the contractual partner). It may be necessary for the conclusion of a contract that a data subject provides us with personal data that must then be processed by us. The data subject is obligated, for example, to provide us with personal data when our company concludes a contract with him or her. Failure to provide the personal data means that the contract with the data subject cannot be concluded. Before the data subject provides personal data, he/she must contact our data protection officer. Our data protection officer will explain to the data subject if the provision of the personal data is legally or contractually required or necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether the obligation to provide the personal data exists, and which consequences the non-provision of the personal data could have.

Data protection provisions on the use and application of Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)
Universum Managementges. mbH has integrated components of Google Analytics (with anonymisation function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service. Web analysis is the harvesting, collection and evaluating of data on the behaviour of visitors on websites. A web analysis service also includes data about the website from which a data subject was directed to another website (so-called referred), which pages of the website were visited or how often and for how long were the pages accessed. Web analysis is primarily used for the optimisation of a website and for a cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.
Operator of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
Universum Managementges. mbH uses the “gat._anonymizelp” add-on for the web analysis by Google Analytics. By means of this add-on, the IP address of the data subject is truncated and anonymised by Google if the access on our website comes from a member state of the European Union or from another member state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
The purpose of the Google Analytics component is the analysis of the stream of visitors to our website. Google uses the extracted data and information, for example, to evaluate the use of our website, compile reports for us which show the activity on our website, and to provide other services associated with the use of our website.
Google Analytics places a cookie on the data subject’s IT system. What cookies are has already been explained above. By placing a cookie, Google can undertake analysis of the use of our website. Every time one of the individual pages of this website operated by Universum Managementges. mbH and on which a Google Analytics component is integrated is visited, the internet browser on the IT system of the data subject will be made automatically by the respective Google Analytics component to transmit data for the purposes of online analysis. In the context of this technical process, Google will receive information on personal data, such as the IP of the data subject, which Google uses for example to determine the origin of the visitor and clicks and subsequently to enable commission invoicing.
Personal information such as the time of the visit, the location from which the visit was made and the frequency of the visits to our website from the data subject is saved by means of cookies. This personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the data subject is transferred to Google in the USA for every visit to our website. This personal data will be stored in the USA. In certain circumstances, Google will pass this personal data collected by technical means to third parties.
The data subject can prevent the placing of cookies at any time by adjusting the settings of the internet browser used, as already explained above, thus permanently objecting to the placing of cookies. Setting the internet browser in this way will also prevent a cookie from being placed by Google on the IT system of the data subject. In addition, a cookie already placed by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the internet browser or other software program.
In addition, the data subject has the option to object to and thus prevent the collection of the data generated by Google Analytics through use of the website as well as the processing of this data by Google. To this end, the data subject must download and install a browser add-on from the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on tells Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information on the visits to websites may be passed on to Google Analytics. The installation of browser add-ons is considered by Google to be an objection. If the IT system of the data subject is deleted, formatted or re-installed at a later date, the data subject must reinstall the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics. If the browser add-on is deactivated or uninstalled by the data subject or another authorised person, the browser add-on can be reinstalled or reactivated.
Further information and the applicable data protection policy of Google can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail under this link: https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/.
Data protection provisions on the use and application of Google AdWords
Universum Managementges. mbH has integrated Google Analytics into this website. Google AdWords is an internet advertising service which allows advertisers to place advertisements in both the search engine results of Google as well as the Google Display Network. Google AdWords allows an advertiser to set certain keywords in advance, by means of which an advertisement appears in the Google search engine results only when the user searches for something with the relevant keywords using the search engine. In the Google Display Network, the ads are distributed by means of an automatic algorithm and in accordance with the predetermined keywords on theme-relevant websites.
Operator of the Google AdWords services is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The purposes of Google AdWords is the evaluation of our website through the insertion of interest-related advertisements on the internet sites of third-party companies and in search engine results of the Google search engine, and the insertion of third-party ads on our website.
If a data subject lands on our website via a Google ad, a so-called conversion cookie will be placed on the IT system of the data subject. What cookies are has already been explained above. A conversion cookie expires after thirty days and is not intended for the identification of the data subject. Provided it has not expired, it can be traced via the conversion cookie as to whether or not certain sub-pages, for example the shopping basket of an online shop, were accessed on our website. The conversion cookie allows both us and Google to see if a data subject who arrived on our site via an AdWords advertisement generated turnover, i.e. if they completed a purchase from their shopping basket or cancelled it.
The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie will be used by Google to provide visitor statistics for our internet site. These visit statistics are used by us in turn to determine the total number of users directed to us by AdWords advertisements in order to determine the success or lack of success of the respective AdWords ad and to optimise our AdWords ads for the future. Neither our company nor other advertising clients of Google AdWords receive information from Google which can be used to identify the data subject.
Personal information such as the pages visited by the data subject is saved by means of this conversion cookie.
Setting the internet browser in this way will also prevent a conversion cookie being placed by Google on the IT system of the data subject. In addition, a cookie already placed by Google AdWords can be deleted at any time via the internet browser or other software program.
In addition, the data subject has the possibility to object to interest-based advertising by Google. For this purpose, the data subject must access the www.google.de/settings/ads link from each browser he or she uses and make the appropriate settings there.

By placing the cookie, Google enables recognition of the visitor to our website when this person subsequently visits internet sites that are also members of the Google Display Network. With every visit to a page with has the services from Google Remarketing integrated into it, the internet browser of the data subject automatically identifies itself at Google. In the context of this technical process, Google will receive information on personal data such as the IP address or surfing habits of the user, which Google uses to display interest-related advertisements, for example.
Personal information such as the pages visited by the data subject is saved by means of this cookie.
