1.) Why is the Universum® Bremen closed?
The Universum® Bremen is temporarily closed from Saturday, March 14th, to support the deceleration of the spreading of the coronavirus. This preventive measure in consultation with the Senator for Economic Affairs, Labour and Europe will be implemented by the Universum® for the common good.
2.) When will the Universum® Bremen open again?
The Universum® Bremen is closed until further notice. This includes all events as well as the KUBUS restaurant. We will inform you here on our website and on our social media channels as soon as we have new information.
3.) What happens to my annual pass?
All owners of an annual pass can extend the ticket for the time of the closure as soon as the Universum® is reopened.
4.) What happens to already purchased tickets and vouchers?
Tickets and vouchers which are purchased in advance are valid for one year from date of purchase. Should the expiry date fall into the closure time, the validity will extend by this period.
5.) Was there a coronavirus case in the Universum® Bremen?
There was neither a suspected nor a confirmed coronavirus case in the Universum® Bremen. The temporary closure is a preventive measure to protect our guests and employees. Furthermore, we want to support the deceleration of the spreading of the coronavirus.
6.) What happens if I have already booked an event (e.g. Talk or Coffee respectively Dinner in the Dark)?
All our events during the period of closure are cancelled. There will be no costs incurred for you. Our colleagues will inform you by phone. You have two options: We refund your money or you can chose another date.
7.) What happens if I have already booked a programme for my school class (research or technology session) or an excursion to the Universum® Bremen?
All programmes for school classes will be cancelled during the period of closure. Of course there will be no costs incurred for you. We are looking forward to a new arrangement of dates with you!
8.) What happens if i have already booked a birthday party in the Universum® Bremen?
Unfortunately your booked birthday party has to be cancelled if it falls within the period of temporary closure. Of course there will be no costs incurred for you. Our gastronomy is also closed.
9.) What happens if I have already booked a location within the Universum® Bremen?
Unfortunately our locations are not available during the temporary closure. We will contact you for further information.
10.) Is the ticket and online shop of the Universum® Bremen still available during the temporary closure?
You can still order tickets at our online shop, as well for print@home as by post. Goods will also still be sent.
